Dear Friends,

The Global Resource Strategy Forum (GRSF) was born from a vision rooted in the sacred soil of Kurukshetra, the land where the great battle of the Mahabharata was fought, and where timeless lessons for humanity were revealed in the Bhagavad Gita. As my birthplace, Kurukshetra has always inspired me with its dual message — the futility of conflict, and the eternal value of wisdom, righteousness, and unity.

From the study of the Mahabharata and the Gita, and guided by the principles of non-violence as lived and enunciated by Mahatma Gandhi, I have come to hold a deep conviction: wars and conflict solve nothing. They leave behind destruction, sorrow, and scars that endure for generations. History teaches us that envy among brothers, or rivalry among nations, can only lead to ruin.

Humanity is but a family — a vast community spread across nations, civilizations, and cultures. Like every family, we can only thrive through cooperation, collaboration, and compassion. The challenges before us — ensuring clean air, protecting our forests, keeping our oceans free of plastic, securing nutritious food and water, and advancing science and technology for the common good — are far too great for any one nation to face alone.

It is this belief that inspired the creation of the Global Resource Strategy Forum, under the aegis of The Kurukshetra Trust. The Forum is a platform to bring together nations, communities, and civilizations to ensure the sustainable and plentiful availability of resources for humanity. It is our collective responsibility to not only safeguard the natural world but also to nurture the human capital — doctors, engineers, carers, teachers, innovators — who will sustain life and progress in the centuries ahead.

Let us remember: humanity’s survival and prosperity depend not on what we conquer, but on what we share.
